Lore Lindu National Park
is a place for adventurers. It has tropical wetland
forest and wide diversity of flora and fauna. People
that really like adventure and want to see megaliths,
the large stone statues from an old civilisation should
strongly consider a visit to Lore Lindu National Park.
There are nearly a hundred of these megaliths found
inside this national park.
Adventurers that visit this national
park will not only have the opportunity to see megaliths
such as "the human megalith" Watu Palindu (4,5 m height)
in Bada valley, "the hero man megalith" Tadulako in
Besoa valley, a pair of "king megaliths" Peka Talinga
and Peka Sele in Napu valley, but they will also visit
the local communities and have a unique opportunity
to appreciate and experience their way of life. In
order to visit the megaliths in each of the above
valleys, you will need a 2 to 3 days walking trip,
though the whole travel can take up to 5 or 6 days,
with the exception of the Napu valley, which can be
travelled in 1 night.
